Man Seriously Injured by Landmine While Walking in the Forest

(Khmer Times) The incident took place at 08:30 on May 16, in the forest which has a minefield, along Cambodia-Thai border in Seila Khmer village, Ou Beichaon commune, Ou Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey.

According to border guards the victim was identified as Ly Lak, 35. Prior to the incident, the victim went to pick vegetables and find animals for his mother to sell to support the family. Unfortunately he stepped on an anti-personnel landmine, suffering numerous injuries.
