Russian in Moscow

Program Location
We would like to invite you to learn the Russian language at the famous Lomonosov Moscow State University (MGU). Lomonosov University is the biggest and oldest University of Russia, founded in 1755 by the poet and scientist Mikhail Lomonosov.
More than 30,000 students are nowadays enrolled at 16 different faculties. MGU was the alma mater of many famous artists, politicians and scientists, such as Mikhail Gorbatschev and Jegor Gaidar.
The campus is beautifully located in the middle of a huge park at the outside of the city center on the former Lenin hills, a 15 min. metro ride from the Red square . The main building is 240m high and was built after World War II in the typical Stalinian style. The large campus includes many libraries hosting more than 6 million books, magazines, internet cafes, kiosks, banks, hairdressers, cinemas, theaters, sport and leisure facilities.
Academic Program
It's a unique opportunity to study Russian Language of any level in the oldest and biggest university of Russia in the heart of Russia - Moscow. You will be immersed into the Russian language and culture. There will be educational excursions such as Moscow City Tour, Territory and Cathedrals of Moscow Kremlin, Red Square and famous Armory Museum, Novodevich Monastery, Cathedrals and churches and more!
Instructional methods include lectures, guided tours, field work, journal assignments and/or papers and tests and exams.
Students will need visas to Russia and the director of the program will assist with visas. The program will provide with cell phones. There will be an Internet accesses at the dormitories..
Students have a chance to take a class of Russian at any level for a total of 6 credit hours.

Accommodations
Students will reside in residence halls/dormitories and will be provided some group meals.
