Federal and State Financial Aid Resources

For JMU Students
For complete and updated information about applying for federal assistance and other financial aid and scholarships, visit these websites:
Individual programs may have scholarship money available
during the summer. You should check the specific program website or contact the director of the program
on which you are studying to inquire about scholarship availability.
For Non-JMU Students
If you are not a JMU student but are participating on a JMU Study
Abroad program, talk with a financial counselor at your home college
or university about transferring your aid to a JMU Studies Abroad
program. Federal aid programs, such as Stafford Loans (subsidized
or unsubsidized), Supplemental Loan for Students (SLS), and Pell
grants are generally transferable, but be sure to check this with
a financial aid officer on your home campus.
