Top Stories of 2011

When the we looked at the most-read JMU stories of 2011, it was no surprise that six of the top 10 had to do with Madison alumni. Change was a common theme — after all, there were plenty of new developments to cover.

When doctors diagnosed JMU women's basketball player Dawn Evans ('11) with Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis, they told her the disease would take away her career. FSGS can lead to kidney failure. Yet Evans, an All-American and ever the team player, was not ready to give up. (More)

HOMECOMING 2012

It's not too early to start planning your big fall trip back to Harrisonburg. Homecoming 2012 will be held the weekend of Oct. 26-28. The JMU Office of Alumni Relations is hard at work planning for the weekend. Some of your favorite events will be back, including Pep Rally, the Alumni Golf Tournament (hosted by the Harrisonburg Alumni Chapter) and the Alumni Tailgate.
