We would love for you to visit campus! We offer the traditional campus visit with an informational session led by an admissions counselor and a walking tour of campus.
We recommend that you register online prior to your visit, as some information sessions fill quickly and once seating capacity has been reached, the session will be closed.
For individual students/families wishing to visit JMU:
Please select a date from the Visitation Schedule, and you will be taken to the reservation form. Once this form has been submitted, you will receive an automatic electronic confirmation which will include information about your visit, along with driving and parking instructions. Campus visits typically include a 45 minute information session, followed by a 1 ½ hour walking tour of campus.
For groups of 10 or more students:
Please submit the appropriate form for your group: Middle School Group Request Form or the All Other Groups Request Form. Once the form has been submitted, we begin processing your request and will contact you soon regarding your request. Group requests must be submitted at least two weeks prior to requested visit date.
Before your visit, you can preview the university by taking a Virtual Campus Tour. The virtual campus tour was created, as a class project, by students in our Studio Media Arts and Design program. We hope you enjoy your virtual tour and look forward to welcoming you to campus!
